Holiday Inn Bern Westside

The hotel gives most value for your bucks. but it doesn't offer any kind of luxury or pampering feel. which you look for if you are on vacation and staying in the hotel.This hotel is great if you are on a budget because this hotel offer a lot of free stuff. like, free parking, free water park access, free public transport etc.

Location is great and there is free access to Bern Aqua, which is superb. Breakfast is quite ok. My room was clean, however, the AC did not work - 26 C! The staff at the front desk were only somewhat helpful. At the end of the day I was not able to get a good night of sleep for two nights in a row.

I did not realize this hotel was located inside a mall. No one directed us where to park so the maze of a parking garage lead us to walk thorough out the mall carrying all of our stuff and a toddler. No luggage cart, though we found one later after we hauled all our stuff. The room was nice and they brought a cot for my toddler but there was no air conditioning and a window that barely opened. It was a miserable experience trying to sleep. The breakfast was average, I’m glad I had points and didn’t have to pay for it, it’s was overpriced. The staff was friendly but that was the only redeeming quality. It was supposed to be a reward night but didn’t feel like much of one. Overall, not the best experience.

One of my favorite Holiday Inns of the many I've stayed in. Not the most picturesque location (in a shopping mall) but the highlight is the free access to the Bernaqua - a water park (slides and pools) with an exceptional spa included (saunas, steam rooms, plunge pools of varying temperatures and styles). Note to non-Europeans (and Brits, who I guess are maybe also non-Europeans?) the spa area is bathing suit free ????

Also enjoyed the breakfast and, as with all hotels in Bern, the free public transit which makes getting to the city centre a breeze (10 min by train and 20 min by team) from the station right outside.

Great hotel with the ability to visit the the Aqua park during our stay. I liked the fact that you could play with some games on the cafe / restaurant with the family. The quality of the food was great with minor exceptions. Great breakfast and very polite staff. The room was comfortable but a little tight for 3 people. Clean though and very quite.

Pros:
- Fantastic location. Connected to mall and very close to the train station
- You get free LIMITED access to the waterpark just by staying there
- Staff was super nice and helpful
- Window view (we may have gotten lucky on this one)

Cons:
- Cleanliness. Toilet wasn't clean (see picture) and my pillow had a stain on it when we arrived.
- A/C doesn't work for sh*t

Great atmosphere - both in the room, reception and restaurant. Very family friendly.
Room was quiet and beds were comfortable. The only thing I missed was cream for the coffee machine.
The reception staff were very friendly. I made a booking online and the staff helped me to get the right room for my family.
I also enjoyed the restaurant service: Great breakfast! Dinner was also good - kid-friendly menu, good service. Relaxing atmosphere.
The entry to BernAqua was the little extra that we enjoyed a lot. We will be back - soon!

Great hotel with a best hospitality. Pool complex was excellent. Good location bit away from tourist area. Easy location for transport and could reach most of the country from here.
