MITTENWALD HOTEL PIZZERIA RESTAURANT

I was just there to eat and I didn't book a room. What they call a pizza is more like a tomato-sauce topped cracker. They should not be allowed to call the place a Pizzeria. The prices are way over the top, for both food and drinks, and the staff isn't attentive. They prefer talking to regulars instead of waiting customers. The interior design is very sparse and it doesn't make you feel at home like the prices suggest. Only positive thing was that the place was open, there weren't too many people and the food was still warm when we got it.

Staff was incredibly nice and attentive! The room was perfect. Loved that it’s not your typical hotel and retains traditional Swiss decor and furniture. Highly recommend!

Hotel is a bit outdated but had the essentials we needed. Rooms felt damp and could do with upgraded carpets in the rooms, for example.

Beware of a very controlling host that runs both the restaurant and hotel. As others noted, she is ready to dictate your every move, including when to come dine if you have children. Our family wanted to sit by the window one evening (after all you pay the same price with same menu regardless of where you sit), but we were ordered to sit in the “family only” section despite same menu, etc. Then we were offered a broken chair attached to the table for our baby. In addition, food is mediocre at best.

My son and his friend were yelled at by the host for being too noisy. Simply unacceptable!

The only real positive was the access to the slopes, but for the price you pay here, you’re better off staying and eating somewhere else. Across the street is a lovely restaurant and hotel called Alpenblick with wonderful service. I’d recommend a visit there instead.

Clean hotel, standard Swiss breakfast, restaurant standard. Good hosts check on your happiness.

Very friendly Staff and excellent food for a reasonable price. Nice wine selection. We arrived at 8pm during off-season without reservation. Thanks a lot!????

The rooms are okay but feel a bit old-fashioned. Great location for skiers since you can directly access the slope.
