Hôtel des Alpes

Although this hotel is conveniently placed near Cornavin train station, that's as good as it gets. The rooms are very basic yet exorbitant for what you get.

There was an air conditioning unit connected to the window which was bulky and noisy so you couldn't sleep while it was on. We had terrible black mould all over the shower in room 305. Even the toilet bowl looked mouldy.

Although there was a fridge in the room, it was just for show and served no purpose whatsoever as not only was it not working,  there was no accessible plug or actual way to turn it on.

The pillows were so lumpy it was like sleeping on a bag of rocks and you were only given one per person. It was impossible to sleep properly because of the street noise so we left exhausted after two nights. Would not recommend.

Very expensive for very low standards.
Room window is not opening, floor in poor condition, very noisy, we hear everything from next next rooms, breakfast is offering very little options and average quality products.
Clearly does not justify in any way the price tag!
Only good thing is the location.

Very bad experience. The hotel system is unprofessional, and does not accept international corporate credit card payments. There are no electrical connections in the walls that are compatible with international charging connections. The morning shift receptionist was very rude since at 12 noon he was demanding in an unprofessional way to vacate the room, knowing that I was in an online meeting, but he kept bothering me and didn't give me time to finish the meeting which made this meeting break down. I was planning to extend more two days in this hotel, but I changed my planing and booked another hotel close to it and much better. I will never ever book in this hotel next time.

A basic hotel for sleeping and showering as you explore Geneva. Location was good for walk ability and local transit.

Good hotel, was looking for a room at 4am and it was the only one with space.
Though pricey for just 8hrs(4am-12pm, 200chf)
Beds need more pillows

An Expensive, although convenient location for reaching he station. Unfortunately, everything else is lacking. The rooms we used had windows that were broken and wouldn't open, a strong overpowering smell of floor polish and the kettle had rather obviously frayed wires that could result in electric shock. The staff at the front desk were also extremely slow checking us in, taking almost ten minutes, by which time a rather long queue had formed. The breakfast was also a little underwhelming, with kitchen staff very slow to replace items (like bowls) when they had run out. Two star service from a supposedly three star ???? hotel. I expected better.

Could not be better located - 2mins walk from Cornivin and 5mins from the lake. Still rooms were dark and quiet with the shutters so you can enjoy peaceful nights.

Staff were v friendly and the free coffee and fresh frui + local bus/train tix is super.

Spend one night. Left very good impression. Location is perfect to explore the city and very close to pick up point if you take city tour. 3 min wall. 10 min to the lake. 2 min to the train station. All around. Enjoy.
