Please be advised that the fountain at this location operates intermittently, subject to weather conditions. We recommend checking its availability prior to visiting, as it may not be consistently active. However, we were fortunate to witness its impressive display on our final evening. Credit must be given to its captivating appearance when in action. Patience and persistence may be required to fully experience its splendor.

This 140 m high fountain on Lake Geneva can be seen from almost any point around the lake. Worth taking a trip right up to the fountain and also to the lighthouse ahead. The fountain is lit up in the night and is usually on till around 11 pm or so. A recommended trip for anyone visiting Geneva.

The fountain may not always be turned on. Due to the weather, the fountain may sometimes be off. Wished we knew before visiting. You may have to return several times to see the fountain in action. Luckily for us, we managed to catch on our last night. Must give credit where it's due, the fountain does look impressive.

I went there in the morning but couldn't find the fountain working as the timings were for the night. Irrespective of that, i enjoyed a great view of the mountains and the lake. They have a number of shops to sit beside the lake and enjoy the magnificent view. You can capture the magic with a cup of hot coffee served with crepes filled banana and Nutella.

Just like Paris has the skyline with the Eiffel tower or NYC the statue of liberty, Geneva has it's famous fountain. The fact that from a useful way how to release excess pressure from a nearby factory in 1886 it is now an icon of the city is quite remarkable. Come in the morning to see it be turned on!

Oh and watch out if you walk all the way down to the lighthouse. Sometimes the wind changes and you can find yourself trapped until it changes again (unless you don't mind getting wet, of course!).

Great fun for the kids. It’s wet the father in you go. I suggest bringing a jacket. An umbrella will get blown away.
