Hotel San Gian - Restaurant VIVA St.Moritz

The hotel is fantastic but our stay was made 5* by Paul who leads the Reception team. He checked us in and gave us a wealth of information not just about the hotel facilities but also things to do in St Moritz. His local knowledge made our time in St Moritz all the more special. He checked our hire bikes for us and sorted out any queries we had with the cycle hire company. He even booked our onward restaurant for our next destination. His manners were impeccable and his customer service was exemplary, just amazing. We must also mention the breakfast which was fabulous and the staff in the restaurant who were extremely professional and polite. Overall, a fantastic hotel stay.

Very nice hotel 15 minutes walk from the city center. Outstanding service and rooms. The bus stop right outside the hotel making it easy to move around the area if you don’t fancy walking. We will for sure be back in the here next winter.

My family and I stayed at this hotel only for one night. A very nice hotel, especially the rooms are not very big but very pleasant and well equipped. A very good breakfast, not a large selection, but there is everything you need. A spa area is a two-minute walk away. There is a very pleasant indoor and outdoor pools. The sauna area ,three new and very pleasant saunas.
I would like to mention two receptionists, a guy named Paul or Peter (a German guy) and another very nice girl, unfortunately I didn't remember her name (from Latvia) who gave us above and beyond service.

Amazing hotel, very accommodating staff, delicious restaurant and extremely beautiful and comfortable rooms. Very grateful to have found this stay, we will definitely be back.

Great hotel with spacious and clean rooms, great breakfast, and great spa nearby for free (with outdoor pool, saunas and more)
Dining in the hotel's restaurant was also great, with high quality ingredients and good cooking technique.
The only disadvantage is that there's a gas station just below the hotel, kept this as 5 star because you couldn't notice it (no smell / car horning / anything like that).
The shower room was equipped with everything needed, with towel warmer, glass shader button (very cool!), and more.
Beds were comfortable and up to expectation.
The outdoor pool, sauna, massages and other facilities that are located in a separate building in walking distance (for free) were just breathtaking and amazing. Best facilities I've encountered anywhere in the world.

This is the worst hotel experience we had. Booked a room for 2 nights at over €500/night. Arrived at this so-called 4-star hotel that do not provide 24 hour front desk after midnight. Saw a folder on the front counter with our name and key card, and our reserved parking lot but no instruction on how to access the garage. The shock came when the key card to the room did not work. Went back to the front desk and called both emergnecy numbers. Over and over again, no one answer. This hotel do not even deserve one star. When the morning person arrived to work, the man has the cheek to asked us to slow down when we asked him how this could happen.

Usually I do not write reviews but our stay in the hotel was so nice I need to express it. Mostly due to excellent service, who were super nice, helpful and understanding towards us (we were there with very small kid). Hotel itself is nice, we liked modern bathroom in the room. Located outside strict center of St. Moritz, but not so far away to lake and close to bus station, with free parking. Nice small spa inside the hotel and free access to pool complex on the other side of the road - which we however did not visit.
Also very good breakfasts and delicious dinners. Overall I can recommend it, especially as a starting point for hiking (maybe skiing in the winter) - it's not the type of hotel where you spend whole day without leaving it.

Booked a hotel for 2 nights, for recreation with children.
We had a very unpleasant and incomprehensible situation at the reception at the Sport & Wellnesshotel San Gian St. Moritz. When we checked in, they took a credit card for a guarantee. The hotel manager wrote out the CVV code from the card, which is an illegal act and violates the security of payment data! Although we at Booking have a credit card with which we paid for the room, and this card is a guarantee.
In the evening in the restaurant we waited for an order for 2 hours... We were with children!
After we wrote to the hotel about what happened, there was no response. They didn't even tell us that our credit information is safe and we don't need to worry!
