Oishii Sushi & Grill Zürich

We had a very pleasant experience. Food was fresh and delicious. Prepared to order. The service was fast with a Robot to deliver it to the table which was a bit of fun! Once I got used to the ordering process it was great and made choosing really easy. Definitely recommend. We went on a Thursday evening it was very quiet, so maybe we were spoilt a bit with such fast service!

Avoid at all cost!! Paid 40.- for a value selection apparently worth 80.-, the result was not edible. Shrimp had shell still on it, some sushi was rice only, overall a lot of rice and some not very fresh fish.

Ordered the Bento Box (Shake). I stopped eating halfway through. After that, I felt heavy and slightly unwell, and very thirsty. Followed by diarrhea after about one hour. One movement. As I am not a doctor, I cannot say with certainty, that this was due to the quality of that food. The heavy feeling however persisted throughout the night. Couldn't manage to eat or drink anything for 15 hours. I felt like I had to digest bricks. The sushi rolls consisted mostly of rice, with only a tiny slice of fish. The side of cooked salmon and rice was rather oily and very salty. The miso soup was heavily flavoured with some taste that I could not easily identify. It tasted like a derivative of salt somehow. But not quite salt. After this evening, I feel that this place does not do justice to the great, light, and healthy Japanese cuisine.

I got a seafood bento for lunch (25.00 CHF) plus an order of the "shake dynamite" roll. Not worth the money, especially as there are two excellent Japanese restaurants close by (Ginger just opposite and Bimi few meters down the street) offering Bento's at a similar price with top quality.

The sushi rice was totally overcooked with a sweetish taste instead of the nice and fluffy rice with a light vinegar taste one would expect in good sushi.

The seafood stirfry with bell peppers was served with a sweat sticky sauce on the side (I might be wrong but it tasted more like canned Chinese sweet and sour sauce. would make sense as the chef and manager were talking in Chinese).

And the batter used for the deep-fried fish also had a sweetish taste, more like a batter you would use to do apple fritters ("Apfelküchlein" in Switzerland)...

Not going back.

The sushi is good for the price. Although I think they have closed the restaurant now?

Just ok sushi place. Lots of options on the menu inculding grill, gyoza etc.Quick service. But I prefer to pay a bit more for a better quality.

The robot is very cool. The food is not good. They even managed to make a poor miso soup. Every other Japanese restaurant in Zurich is better. Avoid, unless you want to have a robot serve you.

Excellent! Hippest Sushi in town. Robot delivery and HUGE menu for dinner. Lots of sushi options and also warm options - teriyaki chicken - sautéed mushrooms, fried calamari, etc. The Robot alone is the cutest thing ever and makes the night fun. You order off a touch screen at your table and send it to the kitchen. You pace yourself for your meal. Zurich is getting AI high tech. Whoot Whoot!
