I love the empty area just with chairs in front of Opera. Also, the great spot to start walking around the lake.

Zurich Opera House is easily reachable by Tram nos 2 and 4.

We were lucky enough to pre-book tickets for a guided tour of the Zurich Opera. The tour started at 4PM and lasted an hour.

The tour was quite informative starting from the history of the building, the baroque style architecture, the fast track construction of this imposing building etc.

The guide took us to the Main theatre, the stage, the store rooms, the dressing rooms and to the conductors room to give an overall feel of this enticing structure.

The main theatre had an impressive baroque style architecture with carved features, gilded highlights and Trompe L'oeil paintings and a very vibrant lighting set up.

Enjoyed every bit of this well panned out tour and the majestic interiors

Just stunning building. Typical historical German architecture. Really liked it, but unfortunately cannot be visited. I hope to come to Zurich one more time and visit the inside of this spectacular work of art.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the opera in Zürich, and I must say that the building itself is truly impressive. The architectural design is wonderful. The decor makes the experience truly magical, with an atmosphere of refined elegance and cultural appreciation.
I had the opportunity to attend the performance of Romeo et Juliette, and it was absolutely amazing.
One thing that I particularly appreciated was the opera's commitment to engaging younger audiences. Their 'club jung' allows people under 26 to purchase discounted tickets on the day of the performance. This not only makes opera more accessible to younger people but also encourages their interest in the opera.
I highly recommend visiting Zürich Opera House and have your own experience there!

Impressive Opera House at night! Loved the architecture. It’s situated in a quaint part of Zurich and close to the train station. Also situated near the water so you can access it with ease. Recommend the Opera House for anyone visiting Zurich.

Didn’t go inside, but the massive open area on the outside is good for some people watching. Can get some coffee or bites and enjoy the evening.

There will be lot of families who come and kids play around many games at the open area. Really enjoyable place.
