Hotel Novotel Bern Expo

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Novotel Bern Expo with my family, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the outstanding service we received, particularly from the incredible staff member, Sara.

From the moment we arrived, Sara greeted us with a warm and genuine smile, making us feel instantly welcome. Her attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable truly impressed me. She took the time to patiently explain all the facilities and amenities available to us, making sure we had everything we needed to make the most of our time at the hotel.

What truly amazed me was when I realized I had left my phone behind in the room after departing the country. Panic set in as I had important data on it, and I wasn't sure how I would retrieve it. I immediately contacted the hotel, and to my relief, Sara answered the call. Despite being busy, she listened attentively to my situation and reassured me that she would do everything possible to help.

Sara's dedication and exceptional customer service skills were truly remarkable. She went above and beyond the call of duty, taking personal responsibility for ensuring my phone was safely returned to me in my home country. She meticulously coordinated the shipping process, handling all the necessary arrangements to get my phone back to me securely.

Thanks to Sara's extraordinary efforts, I received my phone promptly, and I couldn't be more grateful. Her genuine kindness, empathy, and willingness to assist in such a challenging situation left a lasting impression on me and my family. It is thanks to her that our stay at Novotel Bern Expo was not only enjoyable but also stress-free.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Sara for her exceptional service and dedication to customer satisfaction. Her professionalism, combined with her personal touch, truly made a difference in our experience. She is a true asset to the Novotel Bern Expo team.

The hotel itself provided comfortable accommodations, excellent amenities, and a convenient location. Good:
* Well located.
* Choice of food for breakfast is not very big, but enough for a couple of days.
* 3 charging spots for electric cars.

What can be better:
* Air conditioning was a bit cold even at minimum, but windows can't be open so there is no fresh air if AC is disabled.
* Rooms are not very clean.
* Parking spots are really narrow.

After a shaky check-in, I had a WONDERFUL stay at this Novotel. The reception and restaurant staff were wonderful and tried to fulfill every request. Wagyu burger is amazing. Rooms were nicely appointed and possibly the best showerheads ever. Definitely my go to when back in Bern!

Super staff! Ariana is doing an awesome job at the reception :) As a Platinum Member I’ve been in multiple different Accor hotels around all continents and she could teach hospitality to many of them!

Nice cozy hotel in bern, location is amazing as well to walk towards nearby public transport. Hotel also provided us free bern tickets to use on all public transportation in Bern. I recommend this hotel 100%

We we're waiting more than 1 hour for our room. They give all rooms for the people dont taking the queue on our face, more than 4.
We ask the worker to give us her name cause we re waiting a lot and she refused.

Edit: they just open our door at 16.00,we were inside to bring towels LOL whitout calling us or nothing

Eat somewhere else.
This review is for the restaurant only. We didn’t stay here, but it was recommended, so we tried it.
I had the fish and chips. McDonalds had better fries and theirs are not good. Belgians will roll over in their graves at the embarrassment of what this ‘chef’ puts out. Overcooked, oil was under temp, and there was no attempt to drain them. I’m already feeling the belly bomb coming. My wife got the rösti, it was much better, but she can write her own review.
And $9 for tap water. Ha!

No, No, No - I can't find one positive thing to say about this hotel apart from the location being right up close to the BEA.
Parking - Not enough... and a rip off price.
Decor - Gloomy bordering on the depressing and what on earth is all that childish graffiti doing all over the walls?
Rooms - Dark and gloomy like the rest of the hotel and the most uncomfortable Hotel bed I have experienced in years.
Buffet Breakfast - for just shy of 30CHF I would have expected a lot more care taken over the hot food. Greasy, cold and unappetising. Insipid mini bratwurst, rubber scrambled eggs and cold and slimy hash browns. Simply terrible and shameful. I was in an Ibis in London last weekend and the breakfast was twice as good and half the price.
Bar service - When you could locate the barman (frequently disappeared throughout the evening) the drinks were unceremoniously plonked on our table with no coasters. Whilst Im at it... why do 80% of the seats in the bar consist of tree trunks?
Never, ever again. Worst hotel experience in a dozen years or more.
